Watermaze for Windows file format
Watermaze file structure...
Watermaze for Windows data files contain path data of several
trials, of one or many animals. Wintrack imports Watermaze for
Windows data files assuming that they store all trials of a single animal,
recorded at a sampling rate of 10/s. The expected file extension is
.WMD. No event data can be read from this format. General information
about an experiment, such as the position of the goal platform, is stored
independently of trial data in an Watermaze for Windows experiment
file. The expected file extension for experiment files is .WME or .WMU.

Reading Watermaze data...
The Open Case Document command recognizes
Watermaze for Windows data files automatically. Wintrack assumes
that the trials were recorded with a sampling interval of 0.1s, but
allows you to specify a new sampling interval to resample data during
import. You can also specify an averaging frame for smoothing of the
imported data. In order to import goal position information from Watermaze
for Windows experiments, Wintrack needs access to the appropriate Watermaze
for Windows experiment file. You will be asked to specify the name and
location of that file. Finally, because Watermaze for Windows
is not aware of case properties, Wintrack may automatically activate
the Case Properties command after loading
a Watermaze for Windows data file so you can specify case properties
manually. On this occasion, you may also specify a setup version if
you plan to work with custom setup files.
