Surface Properties dialog
How to fill in the dialog box fields...
Fill in the dialog box field as indicated below. You may also accept
presented default values
and options. Disregard grayed
fields and options. When done, press Ok to continue. Or press Cancel
to abort.
Color scheme
Use this radio button
field to indicate which color scheme should be used to display the
surface:
- default scheme: green-yellow-red = midrange values yellow,
positive values with increasingly saturated dark red, negative values
with increasingly saturated dark green.
- grayscale = light gray to dark gray.
- inverted = inverted (negative) grayscale.
- fire-blue = white, yellow, red, dark blue.
- fire-red = white, yellow, red, brown.
- blue-gray-red = midrange values gray, positive values with
increasingly saturated red, negative values with increasingly saturated
blue.
- blue-white-red = midrange values yellow, positive values
with increasingly saturated dark red, negative values with increasingly
saturated dark green.
- rainbow = blue, cyan, green, yellow, red, brown.
- ice = cyan, blue, magenta, red.
- red-gray-green = midrange values light gray, positive values
with increasingly saturated green, negative values with increasingly
saturated red
Scale
Use this radio button
field to indicate how the 11 values of the color scale should be
defined:
- auto linear = automatic linear scale with highest data value
at the upper end of the scale and smallest value at the lower end.
- auto with centered mean = automatic scale with highest data
value at the upper end, smallest value at the lower end, and the mean
in the middle of the scale.
- manual with minimum, maximum = manual linear scale with maximum
and minimum specified in the scale values field.
- manual with minimum, middle, maximum = manual scale with
maximum, minimum and middle value specified in the scale values field.
- manual with 11 explicit scale values = manual scale with
all eleven values specified in the scale values field.
scale values
Use this array field
to specify values for the color scale. The field becomes unavailable
if you select auto linear or auto with centered mean as Scale option.
Two scale values, a minimum and maximum, are expected if manual with
minimum and maximum has been selected as Scale option, three values
if manual with minimum, middle, maximum has bee selected as Scale option.
If you select manual with 11 explicit scale values as Scale option,
you must use this field to enter the 11 scale options.
